“Rather than making statements in favor of drafting constitution by May 28, we should ensure first that there is atmosphere to live in complete freedom, there is no fear and environment to draft Democratic Constitution”, said Nepali Congress vice chairman and leader of parliamentary delegation Mr. Ram Chandra Poudel.

Mr. Poudel was addressing a program organized by NC’s Byas Nagar Committee, Friday April 16, 2010.

He also said that the Maoists were the main obstacle for the timely drafting of constitution.

“They were provided majority by the people at time of the CA election but rather than concentrating on constitution drafting they focused on preparing on their so-called final revolt”.
